Ben Brenman Park is a 59-acre open green space that offers a variety of outdoor activities for the locals. The park is named in honor of the late Colonel Ben Brenman who contributed his time and talent as an Alexandria Community activist for over 30 years.
Located in the Cameron Station community at 4800 Brenman Park Dr, Ben Brenman Park has picnic benches, pathways, an amphitheater, athletic fields (one has a rectangular synthetic turf), some parking spots (as well as limited ones along the Parkway), a picnic pavilion with grills, a playground for children, a scenic pond, public restrooms, and walking/bicycle trails. There's also a wooden bridge that leads to a volleyball court and the fenced dog park.
The Brenman Park Farmers Market on Sundays is one of a kind on the City’s west West End. It features home-baked goods, art-work, and locally grown produce which attracts visitors from all neighborhoods.
